What It Means: Queen Vashti

Hello followers! I am posting today about Queen Vashti. (you remember the old queen before Esther) Anyways I thought I would give my self a challenge. As there is not much information on Queen Vashti this, I thought is a challenge.


I think Vashti was pretty modest when she stood up in front of King Xerxes and refused. But thats getting ahead of ourselves? Right?


First read Esther Chapter 1. Yes the whole thing! Go! Away from the computer until you read the intire chapter again! No peeking at the computer screen! Shoo!


Okay sorry about the lecture but seriously you would not know what in the Whirlpool Galaxy I was talking about.


Queen Vashti and King Xerxes were having a banquet and King Xerxes wanted her to come out and entertain the men with her flattering beauty. Talk about being used! I mean if I had my Dad ordering me to entertain other men I hardly knew......... I don't know about you but I'd be pretty peeved. AND Annoyed! So she refused the King's Order. And as every one knows: The King's Order is Law.

So that's how the story goes.

• King orders Vashti to show off in a immodest way
• Vashti refuses
• The King gets mad
• Vashti is kicked out of the Palace like a fired maid.

But I admire Vashti for being courageous and standing up to the drunk King Xerxes. I would definitly consider her a Bible Hero.
